The benefits of telephone counselling |
|
Telephone counselling is a private and confidential form of help. I will not pass on any information from or about you to anyone else, with the following exceptions are: when it is in the public interest to disclose, for example child abuse or threat of harm to other third parties. Disclosure can also be ordered by a court of law or by the police (with a warrant). In addition I will reserve the right to inform your local primary care team if it is my assessment that you intend to harm yourself. |

I do not pass on, rent or sell your name or any identifying information to any third party individual or organisation for any reason whatsoever (see 'confidentiality') I may print correspondence received electronically and store it, with my notes, under number, separate from your contact information. I do not keep any records relating to you on computer. You have access to my notes about your telephone counselling. I only keep notes relating to telephone counselling sessions for a period of three years, after which they are destroyed. You have the right to request a copy of any information that I hold about you (£10 administration charge) |

you are over 18 years of age you have good command of the English language you are not feeling suicidal at the time of your call |
|
Very few problems are of an 'all or nothing' nature, therefore if you are in doubt whether telephone counselling would work for you, but would like support or advice, then do call me. |

Telephone: (+44) 01634 856176 to make an appointment or contact me between 6pm and 7pm for a session the same evening. If I am unavailable at the time of your call, please do leave a message and a time for me to contact you (UK callers only). |

You do not have to commit yourself to more than one telephone counselling session. In addition, if we decide early on during your first session that telephone counselling is not right for you, I will refund the full fee. |
